Some aids may be able to be fitted immediately from stock but many will have to
be ordered specifically. This may involve a clinician taking an ‘impression’ of the
shape of your ear canal.
Tuning of the aid involves a series of tests with a computer to ensure that it is
set to your appropriate hearing levels. Once tuning is complete and you and your
clinician are satisfied with the level of hearing achieved, you will also be shown
how to best use and maintain your aid. This includes best practices for managing the batteries, cleaning the instrument, insertion and removal and how to get the most from your aid in a variety of difference situations.
Although the quality of product used by Professional Hearing Services is very high, from time to time faults might arise. Should you encounter a problem with your device, we are able to undertake simple repairs or to arrange for repair from the manufacturer.
